Narration for family audiences

I conduct sessions for families with children from 3 years old, where the magic of oral storytelling is intertwined with books, puppets or the manipulation of objects, varying according to the encounter. Each session, which lasts 60 minutes, is designed to encourage the imagination of young and old in an environment that arouses excitement and discovery.

These activities will take place in spaces that meet all the needs of comfort, warmth and luminosity, creating an ideal environment for the experience. Although we do not set a maximum capacity limit, we ensure that the number of participants is always appropriate to the size of the space, thus guaranteeing the quality and enjoyment of each session.

Interesting stories for disturbing
questions

If you look at the sky you will see that there is only one sun shining and giving us warmth during the day. But do you know why there isn't more?

You may already know that elephants have a very long trunk but you may not know why their trunk is like that.

We know that the sky is above and the earth is below, but you may not know that a long time ago it was not the same as it is now.

If you see chickens you will almost certainly see them pecking at the ground, but you would be surprised if you knew they were actually looking for something.

A session featuring stories from the popular oral tradition and illustrated albums. As Pepito Mateo wrote, "the child wants to be older to know the answers to all questions and the adult wants to be a child to continue believing that all questions have answers". This storytelling performance invites you to discover that there is almost always a reason for things.

Storytelling session with illustrated albums dedicated to the most famous character in children's literature: the wolf, the big bad wolf!

Many have taken it upon themselves to give him the reputation of being scary, among them three little pigs, seven little goats and a little girl with a red hood... But was anyone interested in listening to his version?

Maybe listening to the stories of this show will change our opinion of him... Or maybe not!

Session of classic stories narrated with the support and manipulation of puppets with objects.

We propose a combination of traditional stories, those that perhaps the kids "already know" but that surprise them, those that make adults feel like children again, using everyday objects manipulated as if they were puppets.

As Bruno Bettelheim wrote:

"For a story to really hold the child's attention, it must amuse him and excite his curiosity. But, to enrich his life, it must stimulate his imagination, help him develop his intellect and clarify his emotions (...)."

So it is not surprising if some colanders become the three little pigs, a coconut becomes a turtle, a paintbrush becomes the Pied Piper, a bell becomes the little mouse.

These are "fairy tale things" and anything can happen.

This is the beginning of each of the stories that the Doctor will prescribe to the patients who visit him . Thus, characters as diverse as Luca, a very angry child, Captain Malacara, a pirate who presumes to know no fear, and Rita la cantaora, a very envious singer, will arrive at the doctor's office.

Everyone is listened to and, in addition to a story that will be told, remedies as original as counting your toes five to ten thousand times, listening to three lion roars or eating a red apple and rejoicing that it is not poisoned are prescribed.

Fear, anger, joy, trust, affection, happiness, envy, lies, aggressiveness, selfishness, sadness... All emotions are important, some to enhance them and others to understand and manage them. For both there are recipes like the ones given in this show, and stories, especially stories.

We are often concerned, and rightly so, about peace in the world, but are we aware that peace is also needed in our immediate world? Our daily life is full of conflictive situations that we must learn to manage, making them true examples of peace. Get ready to listen and enjoy these stories and... let's have a peaceful party!

For this performance, the repertoire has been carefully selected with the intention of promoting empathy, respect for others and tolerance in the audience, in contexts that are meaningful to them and that invite further dialogue.

Different and equal. That's how people are, no more and no less. This session is full of stories with characters and situations that show us that all people are different, but with many things that unite us and make us equal by the simple fact of being people. Stories that will help to break stereotypes and that will address in a very meaningful way the theme of diversity, inclusion and equality.

A show that adapts the well-known "Pasapalabra" contest in a very entertaining way, and which can be adapted to the theme to be worked on with the participating group (values, emotional education, writers, promotion of reading, etc.).

The audience has a leading role in the session as they will participate voluntarily, trying to answer each question that the presenter, and also narrator, will ask them.

During the game there will be pauses in which we will take the opportunity to narrate a story that refers to the letter in which we are at that moment.

Listening is thus promoted through a playful, pedagogical and, above all, highly motivating approach for the audience.

Gianni Rodari, one of the essential authors in literature, was a fierce advocate of imagination, not only in children but also in adults, of the importance of playing, fantasizing, laughing, creating, of not being afraid of what people will say, of not ceasing to be children even if we become adults and of being children without being in a hurry to become adults.

A fun and dynamic oral storytelling session is proposed, in which the telephone and the typewriter will have, as in his two well-known works, a special role.

We will play by listening, telling, creating, knowing, fantasizing and imagining what the good guy will do. de Rodari escribió.

Not everything is always as it seems, and sometimes what may be good for one person may be bad for another. We will search our bookshelves with the intention of finding books that make us play with perspectives and that invite us to put ourselves in the place of others. Will we find them? What do you think?

Stories with mice as protagonists, those little animals that appear so often in stories. Not only the well-known tooth fairy is present, but also a great number of them that will flood the library for an afternoon, coming out of the books where they sleep to let us know their stories.

Rascal, life seeker, rogue, rascal, rascal, rogue... In all cultures we can find stories that tell us about roguish people. Adversity and bad times, originate the popular mischief that gives rise to swindles and mischief to get ahead. Hence the saying: be smarter than hungry.

In this show, continuous reference is made to this popular saying and different characters with this lifestyle are presented. Stories in which we will see how hunger sharpens the wit, stories of oral tradition and author, inspired by characters who possibly existed and who spent their days looking for a living.

Words and stories told are not something modern. They have been told since the prehistoric caves, by the light of fire, before people knew how to write, before they were captured on paper. This session rescues some of those stories, which will make us reflect, will allow us to be amazed and will surely make us smile. Tales that have been preserved thanks to oral tradition and others that have come down to us today in the form of books.

In this session, tales of Andalusian oral and popular tradition are told, as well as others by authors from this community, highlighting its accent, its idiosyncrasy and its long history.

Birds and trees have a close and emotional relationship, just as we have a close and emotional relationship with the stories and words that have been passed down to us for centuries from mouth to ear and ear to mouth. In this session you can almost hear the chirping of birds and the rustling of branches swaying in the wind. A plea for environmental awareness in the form of stories.

I remember that the sugared almonds were the first thing to be finished on the Christmas sweets tray, of course before Christmas Eve arrived. In this humorous storytelling session, we will remember the customs we experience at the table during these holidays and the stories that have Christmas dishes and sweets as protagonists.
